Codex reset questions
Run /status in the Codex CLI and read the percentage left and reset time from the limit-window rows it actually prints. If a 5-hour row is missing, do not infer one from this page.
Seven days on its own clock, in the Weekly limit row of /status. There is no universal weekly moment. Community reports say each account anchors to its first request after the previous reset.
OpenAI does not publish it. The pricing page says only that additional weekly limits may apply. Anyone quoting an exact weekly message cap is guessing.

No. They are independent budgets. If weekly is exhausted you need the weekly rollover, a goodwill reset, a banked reset, or credits.
Ordinary ChatGPT chat is separate. Codex, ChatGPT Work, ChatGPT for Excel and Workspace Agents share one agentic pool. A heavy Work session will drain Codex budget.
