Read /status first. If a 5-hour row is exhausted but weekly remaining is healthy, wait for that short window or switch to Luna. If weekly remaining is the wall, a fresh 5-hour window will not save you.
A banked reset, if you have one, is redeemed in the Codex app profile usage summary or on the web Usage tab under “Usage limit resets.” A grant sitting in the bank does nothing until you press Use reset. Redeeming a full reset restores 5-hour and weekly windows and moves the weekly date about seven days out — which is why the worth-it calculator exists.
Plus and Pro can buy credits (Settings → Usage → Credits; they expire after 12 months). An API key removes the windows entirely and bills per token, at the cost of cloud features. A global goodwill reset is the wild card this site forecasts; it is not something you can trigger, including by praying.
